What is a solo ski holiday?
A solo ski holiday is a week in the mountains where you travel alone but stay and ski with other independent adults. On a Cold Fusion holiday you book a bed in a shared catered chalet with optional hosted skiing, chalet meals, and a social atmosphere without needing to organise a private group.
Couples and friends are welcome, but every holiday is built around adults who want Alpine skiing with company and support rather than a family or large pre-formed party.
How much do solo ski holidays cost?
For Winter 2026/27, open Signature twin-share weeks typically start from around £799 per person. CF Flex short breaks from £399 per person. The full Dates & Prices table ranges up to £3,199 pp depending on chalet, room type and date. Mid-season Signature examples at Mont Blanc House are often around £1,199 pp twin share or £1,999 pp sole occupancy for the same week.

Is there a single supplement?
No. Cold Fusion does not charge a single supplement when you book a shared twin or triple. We pair you with another guest of the same gender and a similar age range. If the chalet is not full, you are not charged for the empty bed in a shared room. Prefer privacy? Book Double Bedroom - Sole Occupancy at the higher per-person rate shown for that week.
Which resorts are best for solo skiers?
Cold Fusion runs solo and singles ski chalet holidays in Chamonix, Les Houches, Val Thorens and Serre Chevalier: high-altitude, snow-sure Alpine resorts with strong piste networks and lively villages for après. Chamonix suits adventurous intermediates and experts; Val Thorens and Serre Chevalier are excellent snow-sure bases; Les Houches is a characterful valley choice linked into the wider Chamonix area.

What group sizes and ages should I expect?
You stay in a small adult chalet rather than a huge hotel block. For example Mont Blanc House sleeps 12 across five en-suite rooms. Guests are adults travelling alone or as singles, typically aged about 20-70, with dedicated Over 50s weeks for a peer-age atmosphere. Children only join on Single Parent weeks.
Ability mixes vary by holiday type; check the individual holiday page for the week you book.
What’s included on a Cold Fusion solo ski holiday?
On Signature weeks you typically get complimentary shared airport transfers (advised flight window), private ski shuttles, champagne on arrival, daily breakfast, afternoon tea, three-course dinner five nights, honesty bar drinks, chalet host support, and a weekly ski itinerary. Flights, travel insurance, lift passes, equipment hire and lessons are not included.
CF Flex is a lighter product: breakfast only, boutique chalet setting and social skiing, without airport transfers. Full detail: What’s included and Cold Fusion Flex.
Signature vs Flex
Choose Signature for a fully catered solo ski holiday, or CF Flex for a lower from-price breakfast-only week. Both are designed for solo and singles travellers sharing an adult chalet.
