Ski Saint Gervais
Saint-Gervais is the main entrance to the Evasion Mont Blanc ski area with its 445km of slopes. The resort of Saint Gervais itself offers skiers 950m of vertical descent, made accessible by the network of 83 ski lifts.
Pistes are mainly south facing, tree lined and picturesque offering breathtaking views of Mont Blanc
If you fancy yourself as a freestyle skier or snowboarder, you can practice your skills in the Mont-Joux Snowpark (called the WOSP).
Saint Gervais is now home to the famous Folie Douce après ski bar and restaurant. Renowned for it’s incredible party-scene, cabaret performances and gourmet food, la Folie Douce is an après experience not to be missed.
‘Every afternoon, DJs, singers, dancers and musicians carry the crowd away on an après ski adventure of total Folie. The ambiance builds in intensity with the volume, transported to Folie by a mix to suit everyone who loves to party.
The bewitching stage turns run seamlessly together under a wide open sky. The whole show, somewhere between cabaret and street theatre, has something for all generations to enjoy some Folie fun together. Tunes, songs and routines give the après ski a full Folie Douce flavour. You’ll never want it to end !’
Ski Megeve
Megève is a vast ski area boasting 320 km of ski runs, the majority of which are cut through thick forests, great for bad weather days. The exception to this is the snow-sure area of Mont d’Arbois, which reaches up above the tree line to the resort’s highest slopes at 2350 metres. This is the most popular area for intermediate skiers and snowboarders with its combination of plentiful steep runs and picturesque terrain. Other areas to be explored include the Rochbrune and Jaillet ski areas.
The altitude of Megeve’s ski area and the microclimate created by the proximity of the resort to Mont Blanc means that the resort enjoys some great snow conditions and snow cover throughout the season.
Experts will enjoy the abundance of untouched off-piste terrain. The best of the freeriding is to be found in the ‘Magic Garden’ between the Lanchettes and Radaz lifts on Côte 2000 and off the back of Mont d’Arbois and Mont Joux. Ski guides should always be used when venturing off-piste.
