Day 1 – Arrival in San José

Guests make their own way to Casa Botanica de Otoya and meet for evening meal and welcome drinks.

Day 2 – Transfer to Punta Uva

  • Breakfast in San José.

  • Scenic 3–5 hour drive to Punta Uva with a fruit stop en route.

  • Barbecue lunch on arrival at Villas Punta Uva.

  • Afternoon to relax by the pool or beach.

  • Dinner at the Villas.

Day 3 – Punta Uva Point & Caribbean Flavours

  • Morning hike to Punta Uva Point and beach.

  • Traditional Caribbean Rondón seafood lunch on Arrecife Beach.

  • Free afternoon at the beaches.

  • Dinner at the Villas.

Day 4 – Manzanillo Farm & Jungle Hike

  • Guided jungle hike through primary forest to a historic off-grid farm.

  • Prepare lunch from fresh, local ingredients.

  • Return by boat.

  • Optional horse transfer available (additional cost).

  • Dinner in town at a local farm-to-table seafood restaurant.

  • Backup plan: Surf lesson with Hershel if boat access is unavailable due to waves.

Day 5 – Cahuita National Park

  • Snorkelling trip by boat.

  • Guided hike through the park to discover local wildlife and flora.

  • Lunch in Cahuita town.

  • Dinner at the Villas.

  • Backup plan: Surf lesson with Hershel if conditions aren’t suitable for snorkelling.

Day 6 – Yorkin Indigenous Village

  • Canoe trip and jungle hike to the Yorkin Indigenous Village.

  • Learn about Bribri culture, farming, and chocolate-making.

  • Lunch with the community.

  • Return by canoe and van.

  • Dinner at the Villas.

Day 7 – Beach & Jungle Sunset Experience

  • Morning at Arrecife Beach with barbecue lunch.

  • Afternoon walk through town and hike with Victor to see medicinal plants and fruit trees.

  • Visit an ocean-view farm for coffee before heading to Sendero Beach Club for a sunset dinner.

Day 8 – Kayaking & River Picnic

  • Kayak along the Punta Uva River with a guided hike.

  • Riverside lunch.

  • Afternoon free.

  • Dinner at the Villas.

Day 9 – Waterfalls & Coastal Views

  • Hike to Catarata Finca Two Waters for swimming and cliff-jumping.

  • Hike to an ocean-view lookout for a barbecue lunch.

  • Sunset beers on the beach.

  • Farewell dinner at the Villas.

Day 10 – Return to San José

  • Breakfast at the Villas.

  • Drive to San José with lunch stop in Barrio Escalante.

  • Hotel Accommodation in San Jose

  • Depart for flights home the next day.
