The majority of our guests choose to fly to Geneva to take advantage of the airport transfers included in the holiday price.
A large number of airlines operate flights into and out of Geneva in Switzerland, including many no-frills airlines. Easy jet offer frequent, inexpensive flights from airports all over the UK. These flights tend to be cheaper if booked well in advance of the holiday dates. Other popular airlines include British Airways and Swiss Air.
A useful website to visit is www.skyscanner.net, an online search engine for flights. The cheapest flight options will be displayed based on the departure and destination airports and dates inputted.
*Cold Fusion offers flexible airport transfers however we recommend booking arrival flights landing between 09:00 and 17:00 if possible*
The popularity of rail travel is increasing due to benefits such as unlimited baggage allowance and free ski carriage, no long check in queues and being an environmentally friendly mode of transport.
Rail travel is possible between London and Geneva via Paris with Eurostar and TGV and can be booked through Rail Europe (http://www.raileurope.co.uk/Default.aspx?tabid=569). Ticket prices often match or better flight prices.
Guests travelling by train can still benefit from the airport transfers included in the holiday price by simply taking a short train connection (one stop) from the main train station in Geneva (Geneve CFF) to the airport. The connection is cheap and quick and there is an indoor walkway from the airport train station to the main arrivals hall where the driver will be waiting.
Guests wishing to drive to Chamonix, Les Houches or Morzine can do so as we have safe on-site parking for guests’ cars. We can also help with directions to the resort and/or chalet if required.

Yes, ColdFusion caters exclusively for people travelling alone and we can guarantee that you will be with other singles whichever week you choose. The people we accommodate are social people looking to enjoy a traditional chalet holiday with a ready-made group of friends to ski/snowboard with during the day and to socialise with in the evenings.
Absolutely not. Some people travel with us who are in relationships, but for whatever reason have left their partners at home. We also welcome couples, where they are social people and want to enjoy the company of like-minded people in an adult environment.
The ages of our guests can range from 20 years of age to 60 – we have no restrictions! The ages of the people in the chalet prove insignificant throughout the course of the week as people find they have so much in common, age does not come into the equation!
There is generally a 50/50 male/female split in the chalet, although we obviously cannot guarantee this.
The prices quoted on the website are based on 2 people sharing a twin room. We allocate room-share based on gender and age-range. We can offer single occupancy of a twin room if desired, although we have to charge a 50% supplement for this.
Yes, we welcome people of all abilities, including complete beginners. Our team understands how daunting it can be to put on a pair of skis/snowboard for the very first time and will be on hand to help you every step of the way. We can organise lessons (both group and private), equipment hire and lift pass for you to make your first day as stress-free as possible – after all you will have a lot to concentrate on! After your lessons, we can show you the best places to practice your new-found skills with people who are of the same level as you.
We also offer specialist weeks for total beginners and also beginner improvers, which include the ski lessons, ski hire and ski pass and a discounted rate. These packages can be found on the below links:
Most probably not. We have seen a growth in the popularity of snowboarding over the past few years and tend to have a 50/50 split of skiers and snowboarders in the chalet. Our chalet hosts and guides both ski and snowboard and so you will always have somebody to snowboard with.

To ensure that the arrival of our guests is easy and stress free, ColdFusion have teamed up with professional airport transfer company ‘Mountain Drop Offs’ to collect all of their guests from the airport and take them to the chalets in Chamonix, Les Houches and Morzine.
The night before departure you will receive a text message giving you details of your pick up time, driver’s name, and emergency telephone number.
Upon arrival at Geneva airport, your driver will meet you at the Mountain DropsOffs desk in the arrivals hall of Geneva airport.
The driver may be meeting other people at the airport but they aim to have a maximum waiting time of only 45 minutes. The transfer time from the airport to the ski resort is only 1 hour 15mins. When arriving at the chalet you will be met by a ColdFusion Rep which will settle you into the chalet.
On the departure day the pick up time from the chalet will be 3-4 hours before your departure flight time. The precise pick up time will be given to you by the resort rep on the night before departure.
In the case of any flight time changes we ask you inform ColdFusion direct on 0033 670 560 676 as soon as possible so we can make the necessary changes to your pick up. If your flight has been delayed, when arriving at the airport on your departure day please inform both ColdFusion direct as well as the airport transfer company on the emergency number given on the text message you would have received the night before.
If you have any questions about your airport transfer please call us on 0033 670 560 676 or via e-mail.
Yes. You will need to purchase personal travel/holiday insurance before you depart the UK and ensure that you will be covered for winter sports for the duration of your trip.

There are two ski passes available. The standard Chamonix ski pass covers 4 out of the 5 mountains in the valley where as the Mont Blanc ski pass covers all 5 mountains. The extra mountain is called the Aiguille Du Midi. This is a very famous mountain as it is the highest in Europe and it is where a famous off-piste skiing route starts from called the ‘Valle Blanche’. Many people come to Chamonix to see the views from the top of this lift and so we recommend if you get the chance to go up this lift to do so. Therefore if you are coming to Chamonix for off-piste skiing, amazing views, or a good intermediate to advance skier it is well worth opting for the Mont Blanc Ski pass. On the other hand if you are a beginner – intermediate skier werecommend opting for the Chamonix ski pass as you can buy a single ticket for this lift when in the resort if you wish to go on it.
- Total Beginners: Don’t pre-book a ski pass and buy it on a day to day basis for the area where you are having your lesson.
- Beginners to intermediates: Chamonix Ski Pass
- Intermediates to Advanced: Mont Blanc ski pass.
In Morzine there is a choice of two ski passes, Morzine and Lets Gets ski pass or the full area Portes du Soleil ski pass.
The Morzine and Lets Gets ski pass is ideal for anyone which is a beginner – low intermediate level.

The full area Portes du Soleil ski pass gives access to 12 linked alpine ski resorts and allows you to make the most of your stay in this amazing ski area.
There are two ski passes available in this resort.
The cheapest ski pass for the local area is the Les Houches ski pass. This allows access to Les Houches only, ideal for beginners or people only wishing to ski the local mountain.
The second option is the Mont Blanc ski pass. This covers all 5 mountains in the Chamonix Valley (including the Auigille du midi & Courmayeur) as well as Les Houches ski area.

It is possible to do 8 days skiing within a week holiday. You are able to do this as, unlike many other companies, we are flexible on your arrival and departure times. This means it is possible to ski in the afternoon on the arrival day and in the morning before your departure flight as well as the 6 days in between. Please note we recommend buying a 7 day ski pass for this as on the arrival day ski pass prices are reduced after 12:30pm and so buying this ticket in resort upon arrival will save you money. The 7 day ski pass will then cover you for the next 7 days, Monday – Sunday.
Yes, we welcome couples in all of our chalets and friends travelling together if the people travelling are looking for a social holiday. We do not accept groups larger than 2 in Morzine and 4 in Chamonix.
