What is the best way to travel to resort?
The majority of our guests choose to fly to Geneva to take advantage of the airport transfers included in the holiday price.
A large number of airlines operate flights into and out of Geneva in Switzerland, including many no-frills airlines. Easy jet offer frequent, inexpensive flights from airports all over the UK. These flights tend to be cheaper if booked well in advance of the holiday dates. Other popular airlines include British Airways and Swiss Air.
A useful website to visit is www.skyscanner.net, an online search engine for flights. The cheapest flight options will be displayed based on the departure and destination airports and dates inputted.
*Cold Fusion offers flexible airport transfers however we recommend booking arrival flights landing between 09:00 and 17:00 if possible*
The popularity of rail travel is increasing due to benefits such as unlimited baggage allowance and free ski carriage, no long check in queues and being an environmentally friendly mode of transport.
Rail travel is possible between London and Geneva via Paris with Eurostar and TGV and can be booked through Rail Europe (http://www.raileurope.co.uk/Default.aspx?tabid=569). Ticket prices often match or better flight prices.
Guests travelling by train can still benefit from the airport transfers included in the holiday price by simply taking a short train connection (one stop) from the main train station in Geneva (Geneve CFF) to the airport. The connection is cheap and quick and there is an indoor walkway from the airport train station to the main arrivals hall where the driver will be waiting.
Guests wishing to drive to Chamonix, Les Houches or Morzine can do so as we have safe on-site parking for guests’ cars. We can also help with directions to the resort and/or chalet if required.

Will I be with other singles?
Yes, ColdFusion caters exclusively for people travelling alone and we can guarantee that you will be with other singles whichever week you choose. The people we accommodate are social people looking to enjoy a traditional chalet holiday with a ready-made group of friends to ski/snowboard with during the day and to socialise with in the evenings.
Is this a dating holiday?
Absolutely not. Some people travel with us who are in relationships, but for whatever reason have left their partners at home. We also welcome couples, where they are social people and want to enjoy the company of like-minded people in an adult environment.
What is the average age of people in the chalet?
The ages of our guests can range from 20 years of age to 60 – we have no restrictions! The ages of the people in the chalet prove insignificant throughout the course of the week as people find they have so much in common, age does not come into the equation!
Will I be the only male/female?
There is generally a 50/50 male/female split in the chalet, although we obviously cannot guarantee this.
Will I have to share a room?
The prices quoted on the website are based on 2 people sharing a twin room. We allocate room-share based on gender and age-range. We can offer single occupancy of a twin room if desired, although we have to charge a 50% supplement for this.
I have never tried skiing/snowboarding before - can I still book a holiday with you?
Yes, we welcome people of all abilities, including complete beginners. Our team understands how daunting it can be to put on a pair of skis/snowboard for the very first time and will be on hand to help you every step of the way. We can organise lessons (both group and private), equipment hire and lift pass for you to make your first day as stress-free as possible – after all you will have a lot to concentrate on! After your lessons, we can show you the best places to practice your new-found skills with people who are of the same level as you.
We also offer specialist weeks for total beginners and also beginner improvers, which include the ski lessons, ski hire and ski pass and a discounted rate. These packages can be found on the below links:
I am a snowboarder - will I be the only one?
Most probably not. We have seen a growth in the popularity of snowboarding over the past few years and tend to have a 50/50 split of skiers and snowboarders in the chalet. Our chalet hosts and guides both ski and snowboard and so you will always have somebody to snowboard with.

How will I know who is meeting me at the airport?
To ensure that the arrival of our guests is easy and stress free, ColdFusion have teamed up with professional airport transfer company ‘Mountain Drop Offs’ to collect all of their guests from the airport and take them to the chalets in Chamonix, Les Houches and Morzine.
The night before departure you will receive a text message giving you details of your pick up time, driver’s name, and emergency telephone number.
Upon arrival at Geneva airport, your driver will meet you at the Mountain DropsOffs desk in the arrivals hall of Geneva airport.
The driver may be meeting other people at the airport but they aim to have a maximum waiting time of only 45 minutes. The transfer time from the airport to the ski resort is only 1 hour 15mins. When arriving at the chalet you will be met by a ColdFusion Rep which will settle you into the chalet.
On the departure day the pick up time from the chalet will be 3-4 hours before your departure flight time. The precise pick up time will be given to you by the resort rep on the night before departure.
In the case of any flight time changes we ask you inform ColdFusion direct on 0033 670 560 676 as soon as possible so we can make the necessary changes to your pick up. If your flight has been delayed, when arriving at the airport on your departure day please inform both ColdFusion direct as well as the airport transfer company on the emergency number given on the text message you would have received the night before.
If you have any questions about your airport transfer please call us on 0033 670 560 676 or via e-mail.

How many days skiing can I do in my week holiday?
It is possible to do 8 days skiing within a week holiday. You are able to do this as, unlike many other companies, we are flexible on your arrival and departure times. This means it is possible to ski in the afternoon on the arrival day and in the morning before your departure flight as well as the 6 days in between. Please note we recommend buying a 7 day ski pass for this as on the arrival day ski pass prices are reduced after 12:30pm and so buying this ticket in resort upon arrival will save you money. The 7 day ski pass will then cover you for the next 7 days, Monday – Sunday.
Can I come with my partner or a friend?
Yes, we welcome couples in all of our chalets and friends travelling together if the people travelling are looking for a social holiday. We do not accept groups larger than 2 in Morzine and 4 in Chamonix.
